A fair bit more competition here today at Pakenham, a bigger buying fraternity, feedlots certainly
00:05
dominated the sale, midfields are very strong here we hadn't seen them here before but the
00:14
good feeder cattle from 400 to 600 kilos selling equally as dear as other markets around the traps
00:22
at the moment, those sort of 450 kilo steers sort of touched over five dollars, four dollars for
00:27
five or six, the top end of it and it worked its way back as the cattle got heavier. It's good to
00:32
note the heifer job on the well better bred type of heifers back to the paddock for probably
00:38
breeding purposes they took a bit of a lift too today so I figured those cattle would be $200
00:44
probably dear in spots some of the heifers made 300 kilos made up to about $3.65 I noted
00:51
so more than all probably a better yarding of cattle here in places than I thought not before
00:57
and certainly with a bit more rain and a bit more competition it's really sparked things along.
01:02
Second last stall sale here for Pakenham we've got one more the last one on the on the 27th
01:10
of June and that'll be the that'll be the finish of the whirly here at Pakenham so
01:15
all in all a very good sale and we hope that we can finish off on the 27th even better.
