Coming from the airport, I didn't feel weird.
01:31
Actually being the... I was literally the only black person on board.
01:35
I didn't feel uncomfortable from the immigration, getting grabbed, coming here.
01:40
I took bike as well from my hotel here and actually it's pretty safe.
01:43
When I think so far, Vietnam is very easy to come to.
01:48
Getting the visa for Nigeria, to get e-visa and it was pretty seamless.
01:51
So far, yes, I feel very safe.
01:54
Walking along the, yeah, the different streets,
01:58
whether in the morning, afternoon or in the evening.
02:01
Not a lot of people are, you know, bothering me or stopping me.
02:09
So I feel very comfortable walking around on my own, yeah.
02:14
Vietnam is really safe, I feel, compared to other countries I've been to.
02:17
There's always lots of people around even at night time.
02:21
So that's something that always gives me comfort.
02:24
There's always police stations pretty close to where you are, which is great.
02:27
And yeah, in general people are very friendly.
02:31
I found there's less scams here than there is in other parts of South Asia.
02:35
So there's not as many people coming up to you on the street and trying to scam you.

02:58
Vietnamese people are willing to help because, let's say,
03:03
I want to find a local shop or what is the recommendation,
03:07
like where to go, and then they will tell you, direct you on where to go,
03:13
what is recommended by the, let's say, local people.
03:18
So the other day I was just trying to cross the street and it's very busy.
03:22
But someone selling coconut water helped me to cross the street.
03:27
So very friendly.
03:28
And I think, I feel the people are very welcoming.
03:34
And it's a very vibrant vibe in the city.
03:39
Well, the only transport that I've been using is Grab mainly.
03:43
But it's very easy to use on the app.
03:46
And the Grab drivers are also very friendly and helpful as well.

We are constantly being reached out to on our DMs
04:05
about what to do when you're traveling here.
04:08
Any question you can think about, that could be anywhere.
04:11
And we're always able to answer those directly in our DM,
04:14
getting our personal response from where in Hanoi to where in Ho Chi Minh City,
04:18
depending on which city you decide to go to.
04:20
We are always there.
04:22
We're a team behind each account that are mainly all female as well,
04:26
that are here to help you, guide you, and answer any questions you have.
04:29
We also have our website, whereinvietnam.com,
04:32
and it's growing to have more blogs to help you with that.
04:35
There's a Facebook group called Hanoi Girl Gone International,
04:39
which is quite a popular one here, specifically for the city of Hanoi,
04:42
that will help women specifically only be more comfortable about staying here.
04:49
If you're here long-term or short-term, there's great discussions.
04:52
It's a great way to find events that they hold.
