Some of the 36 foreigners arrested over suspected extremist and militant activities have been detained under the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act (Sosma) 2012, Bukit Aman has confirmed.

Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail said on Monday (June 30) that the remaining individuals are still under investigation.

He added that a press conference will be held on Tuesday to provide further details on the case.
