00:14Minister of Health Zulkifli Ahmad said that with only 60 geriatric specialists in government hospitals, education and private sector throughout the country, there is a need to increase the number of specialists in this field.
00:27However, he admitted that it will be a big challenge to attract doctors interested in this field with an average of only 8 geriatric specialists born every year.
00:38Zulkifli informed that he also discussed with the Ministry of Education to increase the number of geriatric specialists in this country.
00:46Zulkifli reviewed Dr. Osman Ali's proposal from the Perak Royal Medical College, which urges the government to ensure a sufficient number of geriatric specialists,
