and I'm here to talk about my diet and transformation.

When we were shooting season two, I would eat anything.

I mean, we'd just come out of lockdown,

so it was like a different time.

I also felt like it was just appropriate to the character.

He's a big foodie.

I always refer to him as a hungry boy.

I always asked on set if I could have a plate full of everything.

Like, if there was biscuits, I would just have a plate full,

or cakes, or scones, or whatever.

And then, you know, getting the call and being told

that I was going to lead season three,

I wanted to change my lifestyle slightly,

become healthier, and just, like, ready to go into the season

and feel like I have my energy levels high.

So, first of all, it was about that.

And then I get the first script.

The first line that I saw, Benedict says,

"Under what foreign sun did you apparently get so sturdy?"

So I was like, "Right, okay, he's transformed slightly,

so I'm really going to dive into this."

And then from there, I just kind of relished the challenge.

I've enjoyed that whole process, really.

Season two of Bridgerton, I would eat anything.

I looked into a few meal prep companies that I could order

because I didn't want to just go chicken, broccoli, and rice.

To me, that was so boring.

So I looked into these meal prep companies,

and it came up, like, there was so many different varieties

of things that I could eat.

So I would have chicken, rice, and broccoli,

but there'd be some nice sauce.

That's the thing, like, I wouldn't deprive myself

of making it taste nice.

I love avocado.

I know some people hate it, but I just love it so much.

And I'm told that it's really good for your gut.

So I have that probably most days.

Eggs, I love eggs.

I'll have them every day.

And then just, like, meat.

Yeah, I had a lot of meat.

I also started intermittent fasting.

I would wake up and not have my first meal,

maybe until lunchtime,

and then I would have my lunch and dinner

and then call it a day.

And also just dropping out snacks.

Like, snacks are just never going to help, I don't think.

So a day of eating for me on the set of season three,

I would have a protein shake in the morning with a banana,

and that would sort of get me through to lunch.

And then I would have a meal prep.

Meat, lots of vegetables, you get that goodness.

And then just a low, like, small amount of carbohydrates,

whether that be rice, potatoes, pasta.

Don't deprive yourself of pasta.

A lot of people on set had the catering,

but for me, it was more about portion control

because on sets, they really like to feed you

and fill you up, so you would get a massive dish

and get seconds and desserts.

I would occasionally have the crumble,

which is like my weakness.

But also I felt like that kept a really good balance

for me of like having a treat.

You know, if I did an intimacy scene that night,

I could smash a crumble or a cinnamon social, or I don't know.

I really tried to keep a good balance

so that it didn't make those long weeks

of dieting and training really difficult.

I would train every evening after we filmed.

I felt like I couldn't get out of bed

at half past three in the morning.

I know a lot of people do it and respect you,

but I couldn't do it.

So I would get up, go to set,

film different scenes all day.

Maybe it's a ball scene, maybe it's a bit of a stunt scene,

maybe it's sexy scenes, I don't know.

And then I would head home, train.

I would always start with a run,

which I'm told is probably not the best way to train

if you're gonna do weight training afterwards.

But I felt like it really just woke my body up.

So I did 5K pretty much every day,

but I would alternate that.

It was not like a continuous 5K.

I would run one, walk one, run one, walk one, run one.

I know they're a struggle, but I just,

It was a really fun process and I really loved it.

And it gives you this new sense of confidence.
