00:00Alison, this movie is about a couple who faces both emotional and supernatural challenges.
00:06What drew you to this story in the first place?
00:09Oh, wow. It was the script. It was the script by Michael Shanks.
00:13It was just so bold and so compelling.
00:18And I loved the horror set pieces. They were wild.
00:23I just thought, wow, this movie would give me an opportunity to do so many things as an actress that I haven't done before.
00:30And, you know, it was Dave's suggestion that we do the movie together.
00:34And it just seemed like such a great opportunity for us to work together again.
00:38Dave, how would you describe Tim and Millie's relationship?
00:45It's strained. They are at odds most of the movie.
00:51But they've also been together for over a decade.
00:54And so underneath all of the arguments, there is still love there.
00:58And so we wanted to make sure to infuse it with that love so that even when they're fighting,
01:06you're still hopefully rooting for them and care about them as a couple.
01:12Alison, for you, what was the biggest physical or emotional challenge during the filming of the movie?
01:19I think it might have been.
01:21It's probably a tie between the bathroom scene and the reciprocating saw scene.
01:32There were just there were a number of days.
01:34I mean, this whole shoot, truly every day we were doing really extreme physical things,
01:41twisting and contorting our bodies in crazy ways.
01:44But, yeah, I think it was those scenes.
01:47Like, the scene in the bathroom is actually really intimate and emotional and also kind of romantic.
01:52I think the scenes that had those emotional elements combined with the really difficult physical aspects were the toughest.
02:00Dave, what do you expect the audience take away after watching together?
02:05I think people will have different takeaways depending on where they are in their own relationships.
02:12We've heard from people who are single who say this is an argument for staying single.
02:19And then we've heard from, you know, this one couple who was in a fight all week
02:26and they went and saw the movie and they said it helped them make up.
02:29And so I think it's got a little bit for everyone.
02:32We've heard from people together and we're tearing couples apart.
02:34Exactly.
02:35What's going to happen?
02:36It's anyone's guess.
02:38What have you learned from each other new, maybe, working together in this film?
02:45It's hard to pinpoint something new because I just think Dave is incredible.
02:50I love being on set with him.
02:52But every time, I mean, this is certainly the most full-on that we have worked together in a while.
02:59And watching Dave on set, I'm so impressed by how much he pushes himself physically and emotionally as an actor
03:06and just has endless, boundless energy.
03:10I'm impressed with how much she just lets herself go.
03:16She's never in her head.
03:18And as an actor, when you can be that free, you know, you can take risks and try weird things
03:25and that's when the best stuff comes.
03:27But she's just this, like, little butterfly floating around
03:30and it's this, like, amazing energy that everyone's feeding off of.
03:34And what's next for you guys?
03:36Oh, gosh.
03:37What is next?
03:38You know, I'll be in the Masters of the Universe film that comes out next summer.
03:43And I'm about to go film a pilot for FX.
03:46Very excited about that.
03:48I have a movie called Regretting You.
03:51It's coming out in October.
03:52It's a romantic drama.
03:54And then Now You See Me 3 is coming out in November.
03:58Yeah.
03:58That's exciting.
03:59Thank you so much.
04:00That's great.
