Welcome to Waverley Station in Edinburgh where behind me you can see the final preparations

for the launch of the Leven Rail Link, a £116 million transport project, the single biggest

one of its kind in Scotland, goes live this morning for the first commuter trains on Sunday.

And we've arrived at Leven Station just over an hour from Edinburgh.

The train has just pulled in with all the dignitaries.

The First Minister's here, John Swinney, Fiona Hyslop, the Transport Secretary,

Gerry Golruth, MSP, Dave Torres, MSP, also the five councillors are here,

and the provost, Jim Nishman.

And we're about to go to the opening ceremony.

and we reconnect this community to the rail network.

It's a day for celebration, it's a day of new opportunity,
