00:00 I met early on in my career, she was the one who coached me in The Voice Kids.

00:08 She always told me to sing from the heart.

00:11 And it might sound simple, but when I was young, I just sang songs without much emotion.

00:19 Because I didn't have personal experiences and I didn't really know how to deliver that kind of emotion.

00:24 When I learned to sing from the heart when I got older, it really made such a big difference in my performances.

00:30 And other people also noticed.

00:33 So that's one of the tips that I've gotten from Ate Sara, sing from the heart.

00:39 It can be such a simple song with such a simple message, but as long as you sing from your heart, it will reach other people.

00:51 So that's one of the tips that I've learned from one of my friends and shoulders.

00:55 Another one would be from Kuya Eric also.

01:00 Because in our ASAP, especially during the pandemic, we were the only ones who were together.

01:07 There were no grand teams, there were fewer people in the production.

01:11 So we artists, we had time to talk.

01:15 Since we started doing taping cycles, Kuya Eric said, "You should release songs."

01:22 Because that's what we're here for, Eric.

01:25 It's something that you also dreamt of doing now that you have the opportunity.

01:29 You know, you're reducing the number of songs you're making.

01:34 And me, of course, my mindset was, "I hope it hits, I hope it hits."

01:40 And later on, I realized that it's not about always having a hit single.

01:48 It's about what you release, the quality of the single that you're offering to the people.

01:55 And one of those singles will hit.

01:59 That's why I'm really inspired by my coach, Ate Sara, and Kuya Eric.

02:04 They just keep on releasing singles.

02:07 This year, they released a lot of songs, which is something inspiring to myself and the younger generation as well.

02:14 To just keep on writing songs, keep on releasing songs as well.

02:18 And then another tip from Mama Reg, was to just keep on singing.

02:28 It's weird to hear, "Just keep on singing."

02:30 But it's true, sometimes people ask me, "Why don't you do concerts? Why don't you do shows?"

02:37 I'm one of those artists who should always do concerts.

02:41 I said, "Mama Reg, you're pressuring me to do concerts."

02:45 She said, "No, why are you pressuring me? Because you want to fill the venues and have a big stage?"

02:52 She said, "I go to bars, I do bar tours, I do smaller shows

02:59 because I just want to sing."

03:01 And that's also a way to market yourself.

03:03 Not just to those who want to watch shows in big venues,

03:07 but also to people who are just chilling in bars.

03:11 That's also a way to reach that kind of audience.

03:14 So that's another tip that I learned from Mama Reg.

03:17 I learned a lot from ASAP Cycles during the pandemic.

03:20 And then also from Tito Martin, Niavera.

03:26 They have a lot, I promise.

03:28 Tito Martin, he gave me tips on longevity.

03:35 Because there were times that we would open.

03:42 My mom and I would be able to talk with him because my mom would take me abroad on tours.

03:48 So sometimes when we were in ASAP, we would talk with Tito Martin when we were abroad.

03:52 And then there were times when we would open up that I don't know how long I'm going to be able to last.

03:57 And in this industry, I wonder where this will take me.

04:00 And he said, "No, just keep on doing what you do as long as it's your passion at the end of the day

04:06 and you follow what your parents say, which is to always stay humble."

04:11 You'll go far.

04:13 And that's one of the things that struck me.

04:15 Because I keep on putting this certain pressure on myself to be able to live up to people's expectations.

04:22 That was me before.

04:24 And then Tito Martin said, "Just keep doing what you love.

04:28 Let them think what they want.

04:31 Don't care about what other people say as long as you're enjoying what you're doing now

04:36 and you're not trampling on other people."

04:39 That's what Tito Martin said.

04:41 So that's one of the things that also stuck with me.

04:46 And then with Tito Gary Valenciano, I learned a lot from Tito Gary in terms of music, personal life,

04:53 but also since it's all about personal life,

04:58 Tito Gary has taught me so much in terms of music production.

05:02 Like when I visit him at his house,

05:05 because we're kind of neighbors,

05:08 so I get the chance to see him in his studio, in his element.

05:12 He's really hands-on in everything he does.

05:15 In terms of music production, he produces his own vocals,

05:20 he mixes his own vocals, he creates his own music.

05:23 It's really inspiring.

05:25 It's really hands-down.

05:27 And then, I can't give certain tips on that.

05:31 He just teaches me and then I observe.

05:35 So I'm grateful because not everyone has the opportunity to be mentored by all of these icons.

05:43 So those are the five tips that I got from my friends in the industry.
