09:40Actually, the more na, like, tumatanda na ako, parang mas kailangan ko ng mahabang recharge ng social battery.

09:48Because, you know, I do stand-up comedy, I host events, tapos part-time bimbi look-alike din ako.

09:54But, but yeah, I think, I don't think naman na ang introverts hangang creatives.

10:01But I share the same kind of experience with Draco na most of the people I know to be creative are introverts.

10:07And it is kind of a performance or another side of us that we show every time we try to make a joke or make people laugh.

10:14Actually, it's such a good combo if you have an extrovert na performer and an introvert na writer.

11:08And then, after nag-resign ako, I just really wanted to maybe rest first work on a few freelance consulting projects.

11:15And then, yung TikTok, it was something I did on a whim.

11:20So, I just had to go for it.

11:22And then, meron ako stand-up video that I uploaded.

11:26And then, you know, it went viral.

11:28And I was like, oh, baka pwede natin mapursu to.

11:30Mas ganun siya.

11:31So, hindi siya yung tipong mag-resign ako para maging content creator.

11:35Medyo, tawag dito, coincidence or happy coincidence lahat na nangyari.

11:41Parang passion project lang siya at the time.

11:44Pero alam mo napansin ko, you cannot escape advertising.

11:48It's like, I thought, I'll become a content creator and artist kasi sawa na ako sa advertising.

11:52Yun pa rin yung, like, goal ng content creation is to advertise to sell.

11:56And if you want to earn, advertising cannot be escaped.

11:59And I would argue na, I think, the reason din why, you know, we've kind of lasted long in the content creation game is because of our advertising backgrounds.

12:09Because, you know, we know how to deliver creative outputs with a timetable, with a budget, with a clear brief.

12:19Pero yun, so definitely nakatulong yung corporate experience because it served as an education to do this freelance content creation that we do right now.

12:26And if you're a content creator, you kind of have to wear many hats.

12:29Writer ka, director ka, actor ka, editor ka.

12:31So, that experience in the production or advertising world is kind of like practice to know how each of the roles would act correct.

12:38And you just try your very best as one person to do all the roles.

12:41Ayan.

12:42Si Rako, you're also, ano, it's sa ad agency ka din nag-start as a creative.

12:48Yes, ad agency creator.

12:49How long were you in the corporate world before you became a content creator?

12:53I'd say I was in one agency for about a year and a half in the next one, two years.

12:59Tapos nag-prod ako for two years.

13:00So, I was like looking at all the aspects of making an advertising output from the prod side, from the agency side.

13:07And I'd say it's really the best place to learn.

13:10As much as we complain about the burnout of advertising life, it's a great place to learn.

13:15If you want to know how to do anything when it comes to marketing,

13:19like, actually, like surviving in the real world, advertising is a great way to learn it.

13:23So, naging advantage for you yung pagiging visual artist mo?

13:26Oh, yes, for sure.

13:27Like in creating your content?

13:29Kasi, uh, uh, working in an ad agency is like learning how to sell things creatively.

13:35And that's what you need in this world.

13:37Kasi lahat naman ng tao may product.

13:39And you have to know just how to, like, get it to the person who will buy it.

14:03ang natutunan ko sa advertising is delivering a strong message in the shortest time possible,

14:08which is basically, paano yung content ngayon.

14:11Like, you share 15, 20-seconder videos, minsan mas maiklipa.

14:15I think yung talaga yung nakuha kong training sa advertising.

14:17And then everything else, I just learned on the fly.

14:20Yes.

14:21With apps.

14:22And, you know, imitate first the people na you idolize.

14:26And then from there, slowly but surely,

14:28I think medyo nahanap ko naman yung boses ko as a content creator.

14:31Yeah.

14:31And one thing I learned in one of the agencies I worked at,

14:34without dropping the name of the agency,

14:35pero tagline nila is like, truth well told.

14:37So, you have to say a truth, sell a truth.

14:41Kasi, if it's based on a lie,

14:44mahirap siya i-benta, hindi siya relatable.

14:45So, even with comedic skits,

14:47there has to be something relatable,

14:48there has to be something true,

14:49in order for it to reach the audience.

14:52Google nyo na lang anong tagline yun.

14:54To know the agency.

14:56Paano nyo naman na-discover or nahanap yung niche ninyo?

15:00Like, with Vows,

15:01yung mga workplace na mga skits,

15:03yun yung, ano mo eh, bentahin ng...

15:06Ako yung akin,

15:07I think,

15:08you would hear other content creators say this,

15:11but just start with or from what you know.

15:14So, at that time,

15:15I had like 10 years of experience sa corporate,

15:17not just advertising.

15:19parang nakadeal na ako with a boss na hindi ko gusto,

15:22best friend ko na sinasalo yung trabaho ko lagi,

15:26mga times na ayaw kong sumama sa summer outing sa Pansol,

16:10localized my humor a bit,
