Two men have been charged following a crash in Leeds last year, which resulted in the

deaths of a mother and her four-year-old daughter. Pedestrians Justina Holbodge, who was 27,

and Lena Chepchor both suffered fatal injuries in the incident. The collision happened on

Scott Hall Road on the 16th of January 2023. 35-year-old Jas Kamal Riyat of Buxton Avenue

in Leeds and 27-year-old Hardy Baku of Grant Row have both been charged with two counts

of causing death by dangerous driving. They have been released on bail and are due to

appear at Leeds Magistrates Court at later dates. Mr Baku will appear before city magistrates

on Wednesday 29th May. Mr Riyat is due to appear in court two weeks later on Wednesday

12th June. Tributes to Justina and Lena remain by the scene of the collision by the Sheepscar
