00:19 the speeches of the people who were the spokespersons of the negotiations a few days ago are broadcast.

00:24 And on the other hand, there is social media where those people are also shown

00:27 who have been denying 9th May for the past year.

00:30 So, a better political system can never be imagined.

00:34 One state is standing on two extremes.

00:37 One party is not ready to admit its crime.

00:40 The other party is ready to punish the most severe criminals who have played with the state.

00:48 A year after the incident of 9th May, a lot has changed in the political landscape.

00:52 The leaders of the justice system are still in jail or in the hands of the police.

00:56 Whereas, Bani PTI Imran Khan has been punished in several cases

01:00 and has been facing other cases in Adiala jail against him.

01:04 But the situation has gone back to where it started.

01:09 The intensity has increased.

01:11 On 9th May, 2023, the trace of the events that took place in February 2022

01:16 can be traced to Imran Khan's speech when he

01:19 waved a letter during the convention on the movement of non-confidence

01:23 and said that there is a conspiracy behind non-confidence.

01:25 And our own people are also involved in this conspiracy.

01:28 On 10th April, 2022, the non-confidence movement against Imran Khan was successful

01:32 and it was declared a US conspiracy.

01:35 After the success of the movement, Shabaz Sharif took over the post of Prime Minister.

01:40 But then on 25th May, 2022, Imran Khan announced the long march towards Islamabad.

01:46 As soon as this long march reached the borders of Islamabad, there were violent incidents.

01:51 The police used force against the protesters,

01:54 which resulted in the people of Islamabad setting fire to various places.

01:58 The Supreme Court, in light of the events of 25th May,

02:00 said that Imran Khan should be notified of the events of 25th May

02:06 but is giving an opportunity for clarification.

02:10 It is also important to note that several government officials have revealed

02:15 that the PDM government had decided to analyze the assemblies.

02:18 Shabaz Sharif's speech was also prepared.

02:20 But then, after Imran Khan's long march,

02:22 the PDM government refused to analyze the assemblies.

02:25 From 10th April, 2022 to 8th September, 2022,

02:29 for five months, Imran Khan, General Bajwa and other military officials

02:33 have been making big slogans in the name of Mir Jafar and Mir Sadiq.

02:41 on 18th August, 2022, General Bajwa and Imran Khan met on the request of President Arif Alvi.

03:04 after 18th August, 2022, on 22nd August, 2022,

03:08 General Khamar Javed Bajwa, Arif Alvi and Imran Khan met again at 8pm.

03:13 In this 45-minute meeting, General Bajwa asked Imran Khan,

03:18 "Do you consider me Mir Sadiq and Mir Jafar? Then why did you want to meet me?"

03:21 Imran Khan replied, "I don't call you Mir Sadiq and Mir Jafar,

03:23 I call Nawaz Sharif and Shibaz Sharif Mir Sadiq and Mir Jafar."

03:26 Imran Khan demanded that he call back the MQM.

03:30 The government will fall.

03:31 General Bajwa replied, "Who am I to withdraw the MQM?

03:34 And suppose that even if the MQM is withdrawn,

03:37 you are still not in the parliament.

03:40 The PDM will make a government again on the basis of the majority.

03:42 So, what will be the benefit of this exercise?

03:45 The country will be further destroyed.

03:46 But Imran Khan insisted that the government should be broken.

03:49 These people should be forced to run for elections.

03:52 General Bajwa refused and said that the country will be a victim of anarchy

03:56 and no sane person would want that.

04:02 On 3rd and 8th September, Imran Khan, General Bajwa and Arif Alvi met for the third and fourth time.

04:38 On 3rd November, 2022, Imran Khan was fired at the Wazirabad city for his rally.

04:43 This rally was being held to get the election done.

04:46 This was the same occasion when General Bajwa was close to retirement

04:50 and General Asim Munir's name was finalized for the Chief of Army Staff.

04:54 According to some political experts and the opposition,

04:56 the sole purpose of Imran Khan's protest was to change the decision of General Asim Munir to become the Army Chief.

05:01 From November 2022 to May 2023,

05:04 that is, seven months, several cases against Imran Khan were held in the courts.

05:08 The PDM government kept ending its own cases

05:11 and the negotiations in the IAEA were in full swing.

05:14 Imran Khan's multiple audios were also seen in the 16-month PDM government

05:18 in which Imran Khan was saying to play on the US conspiracy and cipher case.

05:26 when during the end of the corruption case, Imran Khan was arrested by Islamabad High Court.

05:43 then the Supreme Court ordered Imran Khan to be brought to court immediately after taking notice of Imran Khan's arrest.

08:10 From 9 May 2023 to 17 May, the arrests of the members of the movement were carried out.

08:15 On 17 May 2023, it was said from the side of the administration that

08:18 Imran Khan has given shelter to the suspects in Zaman Park on 9 May.

08:22 Along with that, on the same day, during the National Security Committee meeting,

08:25 it was decided that the cases against the arrested protesters will be taken to the military courts.

08:30 On 29 May 2023, Imran Khan and I had a one-to-one meeting in Zaman Park.

08:37 In this meeting, Imran Khan praised not only the direct allegations against the most important military figure,

09:24 Then on 5 August 2023, Imran Khan was arrested from his residence in Lahore

09:28 for allegedly selling the new court of Islamabad to Tushar Khan.

09:34 Fast forward, on 6 August 2023, the Election Commission of Pakistan imposed a five-year political ban on Imran Khan.

09:40 Then on 9 August, Sadr Arif Alvi issued a notification by evaluating the National Assembly.

09:45 The important thing is that between April 2022 and August 2023,

09:51 during this time, the Judiciary put forward only one demand,

09:55 and that was to hold elections in the country as soon as possible.

09:59 And during this period, the assemblies of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were also evaluated.

10:03 On 14 August 2023, Anwarul Kakar took up the post of the Minister of Foreign Affairs as the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

10:09 And only five days after Anwarul Kakar's resignation, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, was arrested in the Cypher case.

10:17 On 21 October 2023, Nawaz Sharif returned to the country after three years.

11:46 in the leadership of Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan, declared the decision to hold the trial of the accused on 9 May in the military courts as unconstitutional,

11:53 and declared the complaints of the Army Act as unconstitutional.

11:56 Then on 14 December 2023, the Supreme Court's Panchukni bench, in the leadership of Justice Tariq Mazood,

12:01 accepted the government appeal against the termination of the military courts,

12:05 and allowed the trial of the accused on 9 May in the military courts.

12:09 On 13 January 2024, the Imran Khan's Jamaat was banned in the case of not holding an intra-party election,

12:16 and all the members were declared free.

12:20 This decision is given a lot of importance in the context of the current situation,

12:24 and because of this decision, the Judiciary still criticizes Chief Justice Qazi Faizi and expresses distrust.

12:30 On 23 January 2024, Imran Khan was sentenced to 10 years in the Cipher case,

12:35 and the next day, on 31 January, Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi were sentenced to 14 years in the Tosha Khana case.

12:43 On 3 February, the Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi were sentenced to 7 years in the Iddat case.

12:53 This was the first time in the history of Pakistan that only 5 days before the election,

12:57 3 cases were sentenced to 1 week.

13:00 And then on 8 February, the day of Taliq Insaaf, the defendants were freed,

13:05 and the majority members were elected, some with a bowl, some with a stick, some with a banana.

13:11 On 13 February, the People's Party and Muslim League Nawaaz-e-Tihadi government were formed.

13:16 On 1 April 2024, the High Court of Islamabad sentenced Bushra Bibi and Imran Khan to death in the Tosha Khana case.

13:22 But then, on 9 May 2024, Imran Khan wrote an article in Telegraph,

13:27 in which he once again, in the name of the Chief of Army Staff, writes his own article and alleges.

13:35 During this one year, the opposition has been the direct beneficiary of this whole process.

13:40 But at the same time, it has also invited Tariq Insaaf to negotiations several times.

13:43 But on Imran Khan's side, all attempts have been vetoed, and it has been said that

14:14 The Prime Minister has also revealed in his address that the 9 May conspiracy was not only against the Pakistani state,

14:20 but also against the Pakistan Army and Army Chief General Asim Munir.
