00:00If J.J. Reddick gets the Lakers job, how do you feel about that for L.A.?

00:11I don't know. To me, it's more about not about J.J.

00:15To me, it's about who you surround LeBron with, right? And A.D. with.

00:25Rob Pelink is going to keep his job. Him and Sean Marks, God bless them, they're going to have jobs for life.

00:33They messed this up when they got Russ and they didn't get rid of Russ quick enough.

00:40And now they've doubled down with the D'Angelo Russell.

00:45Now, if you get the right people around him, for instance, play Vincent Moore,

00:51get more shooters around LeBron so that he's got driving lanes and they have space to operate,

00:58then the Lakers can be right in the mix.

01:01Here's my concern. Not so much who the Lakers bring in.

01:05Minnesota's not going anywhere. OKC's not going anywhere.

01:09Denver's not going anywhere. Kevin liked them before.

01:13I really, really like Dallas now that they got, and I hate to say this,

01:18P.J. Washington, Daniel Gafford, Lively's been really good.

01:22Jones has become one of the elite defenders in the league.

01:24They're not going anywhere. I think New Orleans is going to trade Brandon Ingham.

01:28I think they're going to take a step up, right?

01:30Phoenix, don't worry about them. They're done.

01:32And then there's the crazy thing, like, what happens if Ja puts the guns down?

01:38It's beating up high school kids and just balls out?

01:42Like, they could be markedly better.

01:45So, to me, where do we have the Lakers fitting in, Kevin?

01:48I don't know. Are they a top-four team in the West next year?

01:53So, it depends how it rounds out. You're correct.

01:57But you, again, listen, I'm not saying I know everything.

02:03There's a few scenarios where teams had some clear things staring at them in the face

02:08and they opted not to do it.

02:10And we were talking about LeBron and whether or not he should request out.

02:18And most unbiased man in the history of sports media, the Lakers should have traded LeBron.

02:25Forget what LeBron requests.

02:27The timeline, I mean, again, they are operating on the stupidest timeline imaginable.

02:33The front office is horrifically rammed.

02:36Again, if LeBron made all the decisions, the Lakers would be in a much better place.

02:56We just hope what we have in the building is good enough.
