00:02 This is a dream come true for me as a director,

00:04 because you're picking up the mantle of something

00:07 that so many talented writers and artists have

00:10 worked on for so many decades.

00:12 And we knew that we wanted to tell an original story

00:15 within the "Fallout" universe.

00:17 We were drawn to the idea of creating characters

00:19 who would embody the different factions

00:21 that "Fallout" is so famous for.

00:23 So a vault dweller, a ghoul, a member

00:25 of the Brotherhood of Steel.

00:27 We wanted to show as much of the world

00:29 as we can through different lenses.

00:31 And it just makes you lean in.

00:32 My name is Lucy McLean, and I'm an active contributor

00:41 to the well-being of my community.

00:43 She is doing her duty.

00:45 She's rebuilding America.

00:47 And then she really has her whole world rocked.

00:49 She comes out onto the surface and experiences

00:55 the world for the first time.

01:01 And then it gets real ugly, real fast.

01:07 The ghoul is someone who has seen the worst that we have

01:10 to offer as human beings.

01:12 He's about as ruthless as they come.

01:15 "Fallout" explores the chasm between the haves

01:18 and the have-nots in a world where it's kill or be killed.

01:24 We find Maximus as a recruit.

01:25 He's a part of the Brotherhood of Steel.

01:28 Seeing these T-60s, something that symbolizes power,

01:31 it's a moment of awe.

01:34 The introduction of Lucy, I don't

01:36 think it's anything that he would have ever expected.

01:38 The Wasteland is very different from the Vault.

01:41 "Fallout" does a really great job of showing

01:43 both sides of that coin.

01:45 I love a big setting.

01:46 So to be able to juxtapose the real human emotions

01:50 with this large scale is the kind of story

01:52 that I like to see.

01:55 There's a tone reminiscent of the good, the bad, the ugly.

01:58 Meets "Doctor Strange" love.

02:02 Balancing the darker, more emotional moments

02:04 with the profound humor creates the unique tone of "Fallout."
