2025 Infiniti QX80 First Look: How a Luxury SUV Should Feel

The 2025 Infiniti QX80 gets a lot of fancy details and modern technology

00:08 We've been waiting a long time to see it and it's finally here

00:10 this is the 2025 Infiniti QX80

00:13 so the Qubit QX80 has been around since 2011 and it was time for an upgrade

00:22 now what does that upgrade bring you?

00:24 a whole new design

00:25 now there's a lot of detail going on especially here in the front grille

00:29 you can see how this new double arched wheel it's all new for Infiniti

00:33 and each kind of like vertical slat is sort of engraved here at the top part of the grille

00:37 that's replicated also here in the daytime running light

00:40 that's something very special

00:41 lots of attention to detail placed just in the front of the car

00:45 moving over to the side profile you see that also replicated in the air intakes here

00:49 and then the profile is huge right?

00:51 this is a QX80 it's a body-on-frame SUV fitting eight passengers

00:55 and you see how designers made the pillars kind of like invisible

00:59 that's to give the interior a very bright and open space

01:02 you see the character lines running up from the very top all the way to the back

01:07 and then here in the rear we have that same theme that we saw in the grille

01:10 with these little cubes but replicated in the taillight that extends along the entire back of the car

01:16 and instead of having the Infiniti logo we have the Infiniti name spelled out on the tailgate

01:19 so under the hood there are a lot of new changes

01:22 first of all say goodbye to the V8

01:25 there is a new 3.5 liter twin turbo V6 that's replacing that

01:29 that makes 450 horsepower and 515 pound-feet of torque

01:33 that is 50 horsepower and over 100 pound-feet of torque more than in the current QX80

01:39 there's also a new 9-speed transmission instead of the 7-speed that's in the current QX80

01:43 also new body-on-frame platform for the vehicle

01:45 and also a new air suspension that can lift 5 inches

01:49 now also in terms of fuel economy over 20% improvement according to Infiniti

01:53 so we're looking forward to seeing that on the road

01:56 inside is really where the magic happens

01:58 everybody that travels in the QX80 will be traveling in style

02:02 let's start talking about the technology in the QX80

02:05 first of all we have almost 30 inches of screen right here on the dashboard

02:10 that's a lot of screen for you

02:12 plus on top of that there is this 9-inch touchscreen for the AC controls

02:16 now there's tons of options in this model

02:19 this is the Autograph top trim model

02:20 it has 24 speakers all around the cabin

02:23 there's also this very cool sound system that's very fancy

02:26 where the driver can be having a phone conversation

02:29 and the rest of the passengers don't hear that phone conversation

02:32 that's very cool something I've never seen before in any other car

02:35 and in terms of material everywhere you touch feels very premium

02:38 the steering is really nice

02:39 there's also this very cool wood inlaid with laser-cut aluminum into it

02:44 that using the door panels and the dashboard that's very premium

02:47 very high class

02:48 in terms of space there's space for up to 8 passengers

02:52 and getting into that third row is really easy

02:54 you simply just press a button

02:56 the second row moves forward automatically

02:58 really a lot of upgrades for the cabin of the QX80

03:01 so the new QX80 will be coming this summer
