00:07 Former Labour Party member and celebrity Big Brother candidate George Galloway has won
00:12 the Rochdale by-election.
00:14 The borough woke up to a new MP on the morning of Friday 1st March as Galloway secured victory
00:19 with almost 40% of the votes.
00:23 One area of Greater Manchester is set to see wintry showers as we head into the weekend.
00:28 According to the Met Office, people in Oldham may see some sleek showers, but the wet and
00:33 windy weather is set to ease in Greater Manchester next week.
00:37 And finally, Manchester's new venue, Co-op Live Arena, will open next month as planned.
00:43 Its application for a licence has been approved by the council and the final decision was
00:47 announced on Friday 1st March.
