Take a ride on Mallorca's train to Soller

Mallorca's historic train from Palma to Soller is no express, but the views of the Tramuntana mountains and olive and orange groves on the Spanish island in the Mediterranean are worth it! #dweuromaxx

00:08 If you want to ride the train spontaneously, you can only buy tickets from the box office.

00:12 So to avoid playing with fire, here's my top tip. Reserve your ticket online up to

00:17 seven days before departure, because the train can get busy and no ticket, no train ride.

00:26 Everything looks like it's been frozen in time. The line has been in operation for over

00:30 100 years and runs on narrow gauge railway tracks, but more on that later.

00:36 Many train carriages have been in service since the line began operating in 1912.

00:40 And we're off! I bought a return ticket for 32 euros. There are only very few railway

00:49 lines on the Spanish island of Mallorca, and this one is particularly beautiful. The views

00:57 are spectacular.

00:58 For the best view, sit on the right, facing the direction of travel. And if you're lucky

01:13 enough to get a first class ticket, you're going to feel a little bit like royalty.
