Super Netball's newest franchise, the Melbourne Mavericks, has bold ambitions for its debut season. The club has set its sights on playing finals despite only coming together for the first time today, just two months before the opening whistle for round one.

00:36 Not knowing contact with the players was quite difficult for a new coach to come in.
00:39 It was a really challenging time.
00:41 I mean, I moved my life from Sydney to Melbourne having not signed a contract in any way.
00:46 With no form guide to rely on, Neville is heading into the unknown.
00:50 But the former England Roses coach says reaching finals is not far-fetched.
