00:03 >> A two and a half point number now in favor of San Francisco,
00:07 the over under 47 and a half.
00:10 Bluett, do you expect Super Bowl 58, the game that we see in nine days,
00:15 to be as close and competitive as that line indicates?
00:19 >> I do expect a competitive game, yes.
00:22 What I would be cautious of is, obviously during this two week period,
00:27 you can talk yourselves in and out of any single prop or line on the board.
00:32 And I think it's important to sort of quell the noise around you and
00:37 just evaluate the game as best as you can.
00:39 Obviously, listen to people like us to make sure you don't get caught in some sort
00:43 of ten leg parlay in order to think that you have the Super Bowl nailed.
00:49 What concerns me right now, just macro,
00:52 is that one team has played really lights out particularly on defense.
00:57 And the other team has not played their best brand of football,
01:00 that is the 49ers.
01:01 I know that the Chiefs gave up some points in Buffalo, but
01:05 they were able to contain them in the second half and
01:07 in the fourth quarter when it mattered.
01:09 The Chiefs' second half defense has been spectacular for almost the entire season.
01:14 And I think that's going to really have a large influence on this game,
01:19 the Niners knowing that they need to get out in front and
01:23 play from in front like they've been unable to do so far this postseason.
01:27 >> Mike, let's focus on the Chiefs here and the movement throughout the regular
01:31 season and the preseason on them being Super Bowl favorites.
01:34 Cuz quite frankly, the Chiefs are in the Super Bowl this year.
01:37 Beginning of the season, nobody's shocked by this.
01:39 But if we look at the odds, they were a quality football team over the first
01:43 couple weeks of the season and hit that bump.
01:45 But when you take a look at entering into the playoffs at a ten to one price,
01:49 I'm surprised the Chiefs are in this spot.
01:51 Cuz as Ben and I talked about so much during football season was,
01:54 I kept buying into the Chiefs late in the season by how easy their schedule was.
01:59 I thought there was a path to the Super Bowl because not only were they gonna be
02:02 a good football team as they are, I thought they would be hosting once again
02:07 the AFC Championship being the number one seed.
02:09 They weren't the number one seed.
02:10 Are you as shocked as I am, Mike, that the Chiefs are in the Super Bowl at this point,
02:15 having to go on the road to Buffalo and Baltimore?
02:17 >> Shocked is a tough term to use here.
02:24 I think the ten to one entering the playoffs number that we just showed on
02:27 the graphic seems spectacularly silly now.
02:30 They still have the best player in the world on their team.
02:33 We know a lot of the things that went wrong, but
02:35 the defense was not going wrong really at any point during the season.
02:40 Every team is gonna get got at some point.
02:42 It's happened to the Niners against the Ravens.
02:45 It happened to the Chiefs against the Raiders.
02:47 And I just think you have to, oftentimes, Donnie, particularly with favorites,
02:52 we talk about this a lot, whether it's one single game or an entire season,
02:57 you have to understand that the odds are baking in the entire game or
03:01 the entire season.
03:02 So the Chiefs were favorites for a reason.
03:05 There's peaks and valleys to it.
03:07 But to say that I'm shocked that they beat the Ravens and the Bills, no.
03:10 I bet on them both times to cover.
03:13 I did think the Ravens would beat them.
03:15 I thought that was going to be a tight game.
03:17 But I don't think the Bills had enough.
03:20 And I still think that this coaching tandem of Andy Reid and
03:23 Steve Spagnuolo, amazingly, is still underrated.
03:28 Maybe it's because Spaggs didn't have a good head coaching stint, but
03:31 he is lights out in the second half of every freaking game.
