Liverpool City Council is looking to work with the private rented sector to help reduce the money spent supporting families facing homelessness. The Council has seen temporary accommodation costs rise from £250,000 in 2019 to a projected £25m by the end of this financial year.

Liverpool John Lennon Airport has launched a Community Fund to support projects that bring a range of benefits to local communities. Local organisations will be able to apply for grants up to a maximum of £3,000, with priority given to projects that benefit communities in Speke, Garston, Hale, Halebank, Ditton, Halewood, Hunts Cross, Runcorn and Eastham.

Craig Charles has joined an all-star lineup for Mayor Steve Rotheram and Andy Burnham's Liverpool v Manchester DJ Battle to raise funds for homeless charities. The former Red Dwarf and Coronation Street star will take to the decks at Liverpool's Camp and Furnace venue on Friday, February 2.
