The long running Warrington bin strike has ended after Unite secured an improved deal from the council. The deal includes a dispute resolution payment, improvements to terms and conditions, and the creation of a number of permanent full-time roles for those on temporary seasonal contracts.

Developers are taking inspiration from the fictional spy's spiritual home of Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire.

Multi-million-pound plans have been unveiled to create a lasting legacy to Liverpool legend Sir Ken Dodd. Plans have been submitted to Liverpool Council for a brand new £15m building dedicated to Liverpool's rich comedy history, known as The Sir Ken Dodd Happiness Centre. If approved, building work could begin in 2025, with the doors set to open in 2026.
