Seven galleries and museums will be closed for an extended period of time due to strike action. Almost 200 Public and Commercial Services Union members at National Museums Liverpool have walked over a pay dispute regarding a cost-of-living payment. The not-for-profit organisation say the payment is "simply unaffordable."

Liverpool Women's Hospital are recruiting bilingual volunteers who will help and support patients and visitors when they come to the hospital. This new team of volunteers will serve as friendly faces to non-English speaking patients and visitors, offering assistance and support in multiple languages.
