German prog-rock band Sameti consisted of a collection of Munich musicians fronted by the former Amon Duul II vocalist and percussionist Christian Thiele. The group existed for over a year before the debut LP, with a constantly changing line-up. In fact, with the two albums released as Sameti, only Thiele was in common. Long pieces in a trippy Amon Duul and bluesy Hawkwind stayling, the whole album sounds as thought it was made in an acid zone: some hard rock riffage, as well as some jazz, with highly drug-inspired free-form and hard-edged space rock.
Christian "Shrat" Thiele - vocals, congas. Walter Bratengeier - guitar. Eckart Voggenreiter - bass. Klaus Gotzner - drums. guest: Jurgen Benz - saxophone. guest: Bob Eliscu - oboe, flute.
