Chorley FC Head Groundsman set to join F.C. Copenhagen

Callum McGrady, the highly skilled Chorley FC Head Groundsman is poised to bring his expertise to F.C. Copenhagen, marking a significant move in his career.

00:00 So I've got a move to FC Copenhagen where I'll be overseeing the training ground.

00:05 There's plenty of plans in place to develop that long term and yeah, great move.

00:13 Through a couple of contacts who I've known from Tottenham Oxford,

00:18 they got in touch via Copenhagen. There's a head groundsman that's just started

00:26 who's going to be overseeing the stadium and obviously the overall process.

00:30 He originally contacted me and then just went from there basically.

00:37 A few meetings with Copenhagen and yeah, just got the ball rolling.

00:42 It's a lovely club, it's a proper family club. We've recently had new owners this year

00:47 and there's good plans there to take it forward, which I hope they do.

00:51 We're pushing up the league this year. I wish I was here at the end of the season

00:57 because we've got last 16 of the FA Trophy in a couple of weeks, which I hope we get to Wembley

01:03 and hopefully I can come back for that if we do. I played a little part this year in this season,

01:10 so yeah, it'd be good to be there at the end of the season if that's what happens.

01:16 Copenhagen have been actively looking for accommodation, which I'll be... I'm probably

01:23 going to be going in hotels just for the first month or so. Obviously, my missus is going to

01:29 come out at the end of the season once she's finished her footballing season with Macclesfield

01:34 and then that's when we'll look for probably permanent accommodation.

01:38 I've flown over once before to a lovely city. I'm going this weekend just for two days,

01:46 get some meetings done, some personal stuff over there and then straight back game Tuesday

01:53 against Chester, which will be a good one, providing the weather's all good.
