Scott Parker pleased to have healthy competition for places

Head coach Scott Parker is pleased with the competition he has amongst his squad for places in the starting eleven.

00:00I think the biggest thing you want as a coach is competition, healthy competition.

00:04It's a driver. It keeps people where they need to be.

00:07And, you know, in them positions like you've highlighted,

00:11the boys will get the shirt, know that there's very, very good quality players behind them.

00:17And Joe Rawls, one you mentioned, Jon Egan, Ekdal, Del Corte.

00:22There's loads and loads of players here with huge quality that is pushing every single day.

00:28This is a young group. CJ Humphries, they're a young group.

00:33They need every bit of the Jon Egan and the Joe Rawls and the experiences they bring.

00:36And they've been first class with that. While, of course, they're not going to be happy,

00:39Joe's the first to want to go and play.

00:42Probably understands at this moment in time that's where it is, really.
