Elizabeth Debicki, who played Princess Diana in the past two seasons of 'The Crown,' tells THR on the 2023 Emmys red carpet that she doesn't take fan reaction and love for her character "for granted."

00:08 The ether it's been absolutely wild and it's been pretty glorious and fun. Yeah, you've been feeling since the crown ended

00:20 There was a part of me that felt that it was time to let go of it

00:25 And now that I've sort of recovered from it and in a emotional kind of physical way

00:30 There's now a part of my brain that wants to do it again

00:33 It's sad for me to know that I don't get to play that part anymore because I just love playing it so much

00:38 But it's been lovely. It's been a lovely week to have the show recognized in that way and the work recognized

00:43 So what is it like reuniting with the cast at shows like this lovely?

00:48 It's we don't we don't get to see each other enough, you know

00:51 Because everybody just sort of goes off and you're so close and then everybody goes off into their lives and has to pick up their kids

00:57 From school and everything so it's it's nice to have condensed time back together

01:00 Princess Diana, of course was so beloved when she was alive for you. Your character is also so loved on the show

01:07 What is that fan love been like for you?

01:09 really

01:12 overwhelmingly lovely and

01:14 Something that you hope might happen, but you don't want to sort of put too many, you know expectations on that

01:20 So I I feel it very deeply and I don't take don't take it for granted

01:25 Do you think there's ever a world where we could get more of the crown? I don't know. I'm not sure

01:31 I'm not sure which iteration that would be I would say yes, but it's not up to me

01:37 We had to imagine is there any spinoff that you would pitch any characters you'd like to see more of

01:43 No, no, no in a way it feels so complete to me this season

01:49 I think they did such a beautiful job wrapping it up the way they did it was so

01:52 Elegant and Imelda was incredible and so no, I I don't I don't think so a good place to end
