Europe releases first comprehensive AI rules agreement

The European Union (EU) reaches a historic agreement on the world's first comprehensive artificial intelligence rules, addressing concerns and establishing legal oversight for AI technology's transformative impact on daily life. The tentative political agreement, known as the Artificial Intelligence Act, was successfully negotiated by representatives from the European Parliament and the EU's 27 member-countries.
