A letter requesting an update on former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s application for a royal pardon will be sent to the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law and Institutional Reform) on Saturday (Dec 2), according to his lawyer Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah.

00:26 Shafi said the letter will not be like any normal letter asking for pardon, but it will
00:31 state the reason that Najib was not given the right to be fairly tried in the federal

00:36 Najib filed a royal pardon application in September last year.

00:49 security issues, Najib is being isolated from other prisoners.
