The Scottish first minister says the UK government has "trashed and tanked the UK economy" and that Scotland is "suffering as a result". 00:00 I've seen some of the initial headlines and of course Shona Robinson outlined from the Scottish Government
00:05 what we expected to see from the autumn statement and I'm afraid we've not, in the midst of a cost of living crisis,
00:11 seen that essentials guarantee that not just the Scottish Government was asking for,
00:16 but I know a number of third sector organisations were asking for.
00:19 We've not seen what we've asked for in terms of capital investment for vital infrastructure
00:25 and we've certainly not seen funding required in order to address fair pay, which I think is hugely important.
00:32 So I'll bore over the detail of course after these interviews, but it's clear to me,
00:38 particularly when we look at the economic growth forecasts going down,
00:42 that we have a UK Government, a Conservative Party, that has simply trashed and tanked the UK economy
00:47 and Scotland's suffering as a result of it.
