00:00 Alex, Romel, we're getting ready for the Super Smash on the weekend.

00:03 Romel, how are you excited for the day and to get stuck into it?

00:07 Definitely, you know, you're always looking for some extra cricket when you come as an overseas player.

00:11 I heard there's only game on Saturdays this way.

00:13 You get another tournament and more cricket on Sundays as well.

00:16 So yeah, very excited to be part of this.

00:18 Alex, you come over here to import as well over at Northern Raiders.

00:21 Yeah.

00:22 Playing at your home ground, are you excited for the day as well?

00:24 Yeah, it's going to be quite an interesting day.

00:27 You find a lot of good cricketers that you wouldn't probably normally find overseas.

00:31 And then because there's only two people a side,

00:34 you actually have to trust your partner that they don't actually make mistakes.

00:37 And then because the boundaries are so big, it makes it a lot difficult to as well.

00:42 80 metre boundaries, you don't really get that in just standard club cricket too often.

00:48 Romel, can you tell me a little bit about the partnership that you've got in

00:52 where you feel like you guys can shine on the day?

00:56 On Sunday?

00:57 Yeah, definitely.

00:58 I think for me, my team personally, I think we're a very good, strong bowling side.

01:02 And I think when it comes to good tournaments,

01:04 bowlers are always the one that wins the tournaments.

01:06 So I've got a good feeling about this.

01:08 Alex, how about yourself and your partner as well?

01:13 I think we are well-rounded.

01:16 Me and my partner Jake, he bats number three, I probably bat number four.

01:21 He's probably one of the better spinners I've seen in the comp so far.

01:24 And I bowl a bit medium as well.

01:26 So we two should be competitive in any tournament ourselves.

01:30 Yeah, you're excited to get a big crowd and some support out there as well?

01:36 Yeah, hopefully there is a crowd.

01:38 This year, last year, it wasn't too bad.

01:40 Last year, and there were a few kids too as well.

01:43 Hopefully a lot of parents can come out and bring the family

01:45 and make it actually a family fun day as well.
