Deputy ILLEGALLY STOPS Volunteer Firefighter - November 21, 2023

On the morning of November 21st, 2023, a Caldwell Parish, Louisiana sheriff's deputy stopped a motorist because the motorist's license plate allegedly wasn't legible. It happened to be a volunteer firefighter with a specialty Volunteer Firefighter license plate on his car.

"[License plate] not legible...."

Maybe he might not have had his morning coffee yet and wasn't awake very well. Maybe his eyes were still kinda blurry and he couldn't see it well enough, or maybe he just couldn't figure out what kind of plate it was because he's not accustomed to seeing specialty plates. Or, maybe he just wanted to harass somebody...

This deputy absolutely loves stopping people for extremely petty or outright bogus reasons, turning the stop into a fishing expedition, and trying to find a reason to arrest people who weren't doing anything wrong. He loves engaging in predatory and illegal policing practices, in other words. Maybe he just wanted to stop somebody, and the special plate being too hard for him to comprehend gave him a reason to make the stop.

One more thing. I have to edit out names and other info for privacy reasons so you wouldn't know it from this redacted recording, but the driver happened to be Hispanic. Not saying it was the case with this stop, but this department (and this deputy specifically) does have a well-defined pattern or practice of racially profiling black and hispanic people.

This deputy must've been trained by the soon-to-be-infamous Street Cop Training that encourages cops to violate citizens rights and the US Constitution...
