New commuter trains for northern KTMB sector and ETS for Gemas-JB line, says Loke

The Transport Minister says that procurement of new Electric Train Service (ETS) and commuter trains, which will help increase frequency along Southern and Northern lines, is underway.
When wrapping up the Budget 2024 debate on Thursday (Nov 16), Anthony Loke said the Gemas-Johor Baru ETS line would receive 10 new ETS sets, and six commuter trains would be deployed in the KTM Komuter Northern sector.
Loke also said the ministry acknowledged that the demand for northbound ETS tickets from Kuala Lumpur was high and that a plan had been made to increase frequency.
