00:07 Cashman talked at night, very defensive, very chippy,

00:10 defending his style of managing the Yankees.

00:14 Here's Cashman.

00:14 >> Well, first and foremost, I wanna make sure, and

00:17 I think it's been put out there, so

00:19 people talk about we're analytically driven, right?

00:22 Do you know where the least large,

00:25 we have the smallest analytics department in the American Leagues.

00:29 Is that a shocker to you guys?

00:30 We have the largest pro-scanning department in all of baseball.

00:33 Is that a shocker to you, to everybody?

00:35 Shouldn't be, but no one's doing their deep dives.

00:38 They're just throwing ammunition and bull [BLEEP] and

00:42 accusing us of being run analytically.

00:46 Analytics is an important spoke in our wheel, but it should be in everybody's

00:50 wheel, and it really is an important spoke in every operation that's having success.

00:54 There's not one team that's not using it, we're no different.

00:58 But to be said we're guided by analytics as a driver, it's a lie.

01:02 But that's what people wanna say.

01:04 I know I can't change that narrative.

01:05 All I can continue to do is say bull [BLEEP] not true.

01:07 >> Whatever, listen, I gotta be honest with you.

01:13 I read the story about Kay saying that it made him look bad,

01:19 dropping F-bombs and cussing on as the executive.

01:25 He's not only the GM, he's like an executive vice president of the Yankees.

01:29 And it just was a bad look for him.

01:31 First of all, no one's intimidated at all by little Brian Cashman to begin with.

01:37 And he's been doing a great job the last several years since '09,

01:41 running the team into the ground.

01:43 >> Well, look, they're gonna go shopping at Walmart again, right?

01:46 Brendan Donovan and Alec Burleson from the Cardinals.
