00:10 that's OLED from Samsung and I am super stoked to check it out.

00:13 So let's go inside and take a look.

00:21 The Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 is a 240 hertz, 49 inch curved gaming monitor with a 1800R

00:29 curvature and 0.03 response time.

00:32 These features are meant to provide an overall immersive and fun gaming experience.

00:36 It has a 32 by 9 aspect ratio with a resolution of 5120 by 1440.

00:40 It has a VESA display HDR True Black 400 certification with a claimed 250 nits of standard brightness

00:47 and up to 400 nits of HDR brightness.

00:50 Powered by the Neo Quantum Processor Pro processor, the Odyssey OLED G9 offers the kind of blazing

00:56 fast performance you'd need for high-end gaming.

00:59 As exemplified by the fast 0.03 response time.

01:02 The Odyssey OLED G9 commands attention due to its curved 49 inch display.

01:07 Despite its large panel, the monitor's comparatively small stand doesn't take up much space on

01:14 The silver metal chassis on the back of the monitor gives it a futuristic appearance that's

01:18 appealing.

01:19 And since this is a gaming monitor, it comes with RGB lighting surrounding the monitor

01:23 mount.

01:24 And what's cool about the lighting back here is you could actually set it up to conform

01:28 with whatever's happening on the game, which would be really cool if you have like a white

01:33 wall, you could actually just see all the colors just splashing on it.

01:36 The monitor has a generous number of ports, including one display port, two HDMI ports,

01:41 one micro HDMI port, and a USB hub.

01:44 The Odyssey OLED G9's curved 49 inch OLED display helps games feel more immersive.

01:50 I checked out a number of titles, including Doom Eternal, Call of Duty Warzone, and Forza

01:54 Horizon 5, and had a blast playing each of them.

01:58 This is the type of game you want to play on a monitor like this because it's the first

02:02 person takes up the entire screen and that means no one's going to sneak up on you.

02:07 I was especially impressed with Forza Horizon 5 since the monitor did such a phenomenal

02:12 job of capturing the Mexican desert landscape I raced on.

02:16 To my eyes, the Odyssey OLED G9's vivid, oversaturated colors made Doom Eternal's

02:21 hellish landscape look even more stunning.

02:24 The 240Hz refresh rate ensured that every game I played ran buttery smooth.

02:29 The low 0.03 response time all but eliminated input lag.

02:33 In fact, I didn't feel any input lag whatsoever.

02:36 We won't have hard numbers for you until we've put the monitor through a lab testing,

02:40 but expect it to match or exceed those of the best gaming monitors out there.

02:45 The Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 has the makings of being one of this year's best gaming

02:50 It's pretty awesome.

02:51 I love how it just immerses you in whatever game you're playing and I love also how

02:55 smooth it is when you're playing anything.
