The Acer Predator Z57 is one of the largest gaming monitors at CES. 7,680 x 2,160 resolution and a mini-LED panel makes everything appear bright and colorful along with a 120Hz refresh rate.

00:05 57 inch gaming monitor. This is a big deal. Let's check it out.

00:09 This is basically two 4k 32 inch monitors in one and it looks fantastic right now.

00:15 I'm playing Forza Horizon 5 and it's awesome. I'm loving it.

00:19 One of the benefits of having a monitor this size with the curve is that you actually feel really enveloped

00:24 within whatever games you're playing.

00:26 I feel it's best for racing games and first-person shooters. You can really see all the environments around you,

00:32 especially in a first-person shooter so nobody could sneak up on you.

00:35 And even though in racing games you're mainly just focusing on the middle,

00:39 I feel that seeing the giant environment around you, it just helps you become more immersed.

00:44 And with this monitor specifically, it has a 120 hertz refresh rate,

00:49 which I feel is really, really good for just keeping everything looking nice and smooth.

00:53 I can't speak about the colors and brightness, like, you know, number-wise,

00:57 but to my eyes it looks really nice, really colorful, and it's just a pleasing experience.

01:01 Again, it's just super immersive. I love these kind of monitors.

01:05 As great as these super ultra-wide monitors could be, the main drawback is that if you're playing on a PlayStation 5,

01:12 Xbox Series X, that most games, since they're at 16 by 9 aspect ratio, you're going to have, like, empty space on the side.

01:19 So that's one of the drawbacks. This is really a monitor for PC gamers,

01:24 and even not all PC games have that aspect ratio.

01:27 So that's something to keep in mind if you're looking into getting this.

01:30 Right now we're looking at a Q2 release date. It's going to set you back $2499.

01:35 I know that's kind of pricey, but considering you're getting, again, two 4K 32-inch monitors in one,

01:41 and you get such an immersive experience, I think it's worth it, especially if you're, like, a true hardcore gamer.

01:45 But just remember, not every game could take advantage of the aspect ratio,

01:49 but if you're playing games like racing games or first-run shooters that can take advantage, I think it's worth it.
