Detectives continue to appeal for information on the first anniversary of the murder of Jacqueline Rutter in Wirral. Jacqueline, aged 53, was shot in the chest in her own home on Meadowbrook Road, in Moreton, at around 1am on Sunday, 30 October 2022.

Following the tragic incident on Queens Drive in August, the site remains closed. Due to the heavy rainfall last week, the road re-lining work has been pushed back. The current road closure notice means the route will remain closed until 16 November.

Liverpool City Council has launched a public consultation to inform how and where the city invests in new infrastructure for active travel routes. The two week online consultation is primarily aimed at enabling the Council to develop an accessible and connected cycling and walking route network.
