00:05 A new fish and chip shop will be opening in Preston this weekend. Portions of haddock

00:10 and chips will be on sale for just £45p. Mother Hubbard's, which has branches across

00:14 the UK, will welcome customers to its new premises at 41 Blackpool Road on Saturday.

00:20 The incredible offer for the price it cost when the firm first opened in Bradford in

00:24 1972 will be available to the first 1,000 customers for one day only.

00:30 Blackpool restaurant Dahlia's Kitchen served food which was unfit for human consumption,

00:34 a court heard. The owner, Sean Pickup of Roseacre Blackpool, admitted eight offences brought

00:40 by filed Borough Council under the Food, Hygiene and Safety legislation. Pickup admitted failing

00:46 to maintain food at proper temperatures and not keeping areas clean and well maintained.

00:50 They also pleaded guilty to putting on the market for public sale large quantities of

00:55 food unfit for human consumption and a charge concerning sell-by dates leading to the sale

01:03 Plans to extend delivery hours at home bargains in Morecambe have raised concerns about potential

01:07 early morning disturbance. The firm wants permission to change the shop's delivery hours

01:12 to include earlier 6am starts seven days a week, as well as later evening deliveries.

01:51 A Wigan firm has been prosecuted for illegally setting up adverts on lorries in fields next

01:56 to the M6 in Lancashire. Lancaster City Council took Phantom Motor Company Ltd of Coupland

02:02 Road, Hindley Green to court after they advertised on the sides of two lorries placed either

02:06 side of the M6 north of Wams Lane in Lancaster. This action resulted in the removal of the

02:13 advertisements earlier this year. An apparent in court for the company pleaded guilty and

02:17 was given a two-year conditional discharge. It was also ordered to pay the council's legal

02:21 costs of £3,000.

02:26 Today's weather is expected to be patchy rain in the morning, followed by sunshine and showers

02:30 in the afternoon. Showers may turn heavy at times, with the risk of thunder, mainly on

02:36 the western coast, slightly milder than Thursday's temperature. A maximum temperature of 13 degrees
