00:05 A man has been charged after another man suffered a number of lacerations during an altercation

00:09 in Leyland. Police were called to report of an altercation in Bannister Drive shortly

00:13 before 6pm on Saturday. A man in his 30s was taken to hospital suffering from a number

00:19 of lacerations, but his injuries were not life-threatening. Adam Musker, aged 35, of

00:24 Windrow Drive, Preston, was later charged with Section 18 wounding and possession of

00:29 an offensive weapon. In Blackpool, proposals to open a Swiss champagne

00:34 and cocktail bar in the heart of Poulton appear unlikely to happen soon, despite planning

00:39 permission being granted more than a year ago. Y Council approved the application submitted

01:14 mum of two on its website and Facebook page. In addition to being a headteacher, Helen

01:19 was a former Olympic swimmer and also played with the Pemberton Old Wigan DW brass band.

01:26 A Lancaster-born restaurant, Beer and Twist, has moved into a larger city centre premises.

01:32 Now located in Market Square, the venue has moved from Church Street into its new bigger

01:36 premises, the former Sydney's Restaurant and Bar 1725, and plans to offer an improved

01:41 food menu along with entertainment. Beer and Twist has hired a new head chef, who has created

01:46 a menu consisting of fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and the restaurant will also

01:50 be launching a Sunday lunch menu. A popular Burnley landlady is preparing to

01:55 serve her last pint after what she has described as an incredible journey. Tony-Ann Martimer
