Hamas Accuses US of Aggression Against Palestinian People
"Hamas accuses the United States of aggression against the Palestinian people," said Hamas spokesperson Hazem Kassem.
He claims that the US sending a Navy carrier strike group to the eastern Mediterranean Sea is an act of aggression.
"These movements do not frighten our people nor their resistance," Kassem stated.
He reassures that the Palestinian people and their resistance will continue to defend themselves and their holy places.
The Navy carrier strike group includes the USS Gerald R. Ford, a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, along with guided missile destroyers and guided missile cruisers.
Additionally, the US is positioning more fighter jets to the Middle East as a deterrent to Hezbollah in Lebanon and other militant groups aligned against Israel.
