McCarthy Lists The New Allegations About Hunter Biden That Came Out When During His Time As Speaker

At his press briefing following his ouster from the Speakership, Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) spoke about the investigations and new allegations about Hunter Biden and Biden family business dealings.

00:04 able public. Well, you know, one of the things, um, when I was running for
00:08 speaker, that's it. I couldn't get involved in primaries, but I told the
00:11 conference I'm a free agent now, aren't I? I think I'm pretty good at electing
00:15 people.
00:15 Last time you spoke to President Biden, do you expect you now? You know, I was
00:21 thinking about that. It's been a long, long time.
00:23 I couldn't remember when I spoke to him last.
00:30 You know, I've worked with a couple different presidents. Um,
00:32 I would have thought
00:34 I thought we had built some respect for one another going through the debt
00:40 ceiling. I know he got frustrated with me, but and I have a great deal of
00:46 respect for the people in his office. I worked for Rashedi and all them. I think
00:51 there look, we have different philosophy, Schwan's than the others.
00:54 Um, they're smart. I respect them. They were honest. Um, and I thought we made
01:00 a good agreement. Um, as a president, I would engage more.
01:04 I think being hands on. Look, you're the leader of the free world. Um, all the
01:11 other presidents. I think bringing people together is a better way.
01:14 Talking through stuff when you're in those rooms, you can talk about all
01:17 sorts of things.
01:23 To what part?
01:24 No, let's talk about that. You guys play. And remember what impeachment inquiry
01:32 is, is simply the ability to give the House Republicans and Democrats the
01:37 power when you request for information. So if you were lawmakers and you hold
01:44 you in high esteem because you are investigative reporters in a minute,
01:47 you're supposed to cover this stuff.

01:51 power, I didn't know any of this. I did not know when he was vice president
01:57 that his family created 20 shell companies. I had no idea about that.
02:00 Don't not saying that's wrong. I did not know he got 16 of the 17 payments
02:06 from Romania while he was vice president and he was supposed to be in charge of
02:10 Romania. I didn't know that. I had no idea when a whistleblower came to us
02:14 and said that the FBI has an informant they still pay who claims
02:21 that the president was bribed by $5 million. It was interesting. We had to
02:26 fight to get that document. And when we got that document, it said it would be
02:30 hard to find because he has a lot of shell companies. Then I had no idea
02:35 that IRS agents would come to us.
02:38 How would I know they come to us and say, look, we've worked for 16 years.

02:44 um political basis on the other side, but we're concerned with what's
02:50 happened here, that D. O. J. Allowed
02:53 the statute of limitations to run out that they weren't allowed to interview
02:59 Hunter because when they went to the FBI, they told him and then they even
03:04 told the inaugural committee. I don't know how that play in that the D. O. J.
03:07 would call 100 biden's attorneys and tell them that they didn't even know
03:11 about a storage unit with all the papers before they could go there. Um,
03:16 the president told us he never had a meeting. He never talked to us. Look,
03:20 when he said he never talked to us and I didn't believe that. I don't think
03:23 it's wrong. If you talk to your son, I want you to talk to your kids about
03:25 anything, right? Doesn't mean you're influencing something, but he literally
03:29 I had no idea
03:30 that the partner to 100 biden that also served on the Ukrainian Energy Board
03:37 said they would literally call in the meetings. And then he said that they
03:42 were getting a lot of pressure barisma to do something about the Ukraine
03:46 prosecutor. And I did know the president tell the entire country that
03:50 he withheld a billion dollars of american taxpayer money to get rid of
03:54 the prosecutor. Um, and then we found out that the president not only called
03:59 in the meetings that he went to Cafe Milano, he went to Cafe Milano more
04:02 times and met with the foreign business partners of 100 biden than he has gone
04:07 to the border in 50 years. But with each meeting that you went to Cafe Milano
04:10 and I've never had this happen. I've been to Cafe Milano, but I've never
04:13 gotten a new Porsche the next day and I never got $3 million wired to me from
04:18 a russian oligarch. So if you knew all of that,
04:21 would you at least say, hmm,
04:25 I think there's more thing we've never asked for the tax or the bank
04:32 statements of the president of Hunter or anybody else. And these 20 shell
04:36 companies had credit cards that were being paid. Now, this laptop that was
04:40 supposed to be russian that we now found out was hunter in there. He did
04:44 say his father would take the money from him. Um, he did make and we did
04:50 find out that the president, I didn't know this when I became speaker, used
04:55 another name while he was vice president for emails. And in one of the
04:59 emails, it said that, um, it only went to him and his son hunter. And it was
05:05 about a phone call he was going to have with the president of Ukraine. Now,
05:11 if you knew all of that, would you say, oh, I don't have any more questions
05:15 or would you at least as a lawmaker and you have a role here, wouldn't you
05:21 at least say, okay, well, we're going to have to go get some more documents.
05:25 And if you're going to get more documents, I just want to make sure if
05:28 they're going to fight it and string everything out that we can get it.
05:31 That's all impeachment inquiry. Now, if that made the president upset, maybe
05:35 he shouldn't have lied to us from the beginning.
