00:18 Collector's Editions don't come cheap, and sometimes they get even more costly long after launch.
00:24 And hey, speaking of Collector's Editions, that Spider-Man 2 one? Pretty sick.

00:57 Though Bandai Namco's RPG franchise has seen a whopping 17 games across its near 30-year-long run,
01:04 it hasn't really gotten something as big as the Collector's Edition for Tales of Arise.
01:09 When it released, you could have gotten an art book, a copy of the soundtrack, a steel book along with a copy of the game,
01:15 and, the big ticket item, a statue of Alphen and Shion.
01:20 All of that would have run roughly $200 when they were still available.
01:25 Now, you'll be paying a premium of $50 minimum, and most are asking double the MSRP these days.

01:39 Disco Elysium, The Final Cut.

01:53 It's always the smaller titles that get shorter runs of the good stuff,
01:57 and Disco Elysium's Collector's Edition was especially harrowing.
02:01 Hell, just a physical copy of the game can cost a hefty penny,
02:04 but that sweet Collector's Edition came with a meaty art book and a beautifully illustrated map of Martin Ames.
02:11 The manufacturer, I Am 8-Bit, still has units available at $250 a pop.
02:17 So, why secondhand sellers are asking for around double that, sometimes more, is beyond us.
02:24 But clearly, this one is sought after in smaller circles.
02:28 "Um, yes. I'm going to unplug the microphone, okay?"
02:33 "And leave a bigger mark behind you in new quests."
02:37 "You're big boys, you can handle it."
02:40 Evil Dead, The Game.
02:42 "We come to you in the form of Linda, the Savior's last love."
02:47 "Join us, and we will crush the mortal's last stand."
02:51 Now, there are plenty of reasons one might seek the Collector's Edition for this multiplayer gem.
02:56 After all, Evil Dead has always had some awesome merchandise for fans to throw money at.
03:01 For this, was it the exclusive t-shirt? The vinyl soundtrack?
03:05 That haunting packaging that's holding everything together?
03:08 Or maybe it's the ash skin designed by the famous Tom Savini?
03:12 That's all well and dandy, but real fans went for that Ultimate Collector's Edition,
03:17 which came with all of that, plus a Necronomicon to call your own.
03:22 If you own a complete set of this, you might be able to cover bills for a couple of months.
03:27 Assuming you choose to sell it, of course.

03:48 Soul Hackers 2 kind of launched without much fanfare,
03:51 but that didn't stop Atlus from selling a Collector's Edition for its underrated IP.
03:56 The Collector's Edition for Soul Hackers 2 would net you a Steelbook, as with most others,
04:01 a small collection of pins, a USB containing the soundtrack, a shark keychain, a plushie of Mimi,
04:07 and a figure of Aho, all for 200 smackaroos.
04:11 The edition has long since been sold out, of course, and the premium may not be super absurd,
04:16 but 250 is still a heavy asking price from secondhand sellers.
04:21 Some aren't even including the game, and still want more than it costs them.

04:33 Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed

04:41 The Collector's Edition, excuse me, the second coming edition of the Destroy All Humans 2 remake,
04:48 had some pretty sweet merchandise for fans.
04:51 Yeah, there was a soundtrack, an art book, of course, but there was also a small statue of the Arkvoodle,
04:56 as well as a detailed and fine as hell statue of Crypto.
05:00 I wanted this. I didn't get it, but I still want it.
05:04 Problem was that only 3,700 units of these were made, and yes, they have long since sold out.
05:11 Today, they fetch for about double or even triple their original price.
05:15 Some sellers are straight up charging nearly a thousand big ones.
05:19 That's obscene, but that statue, though, that statue's fine.

05:45 Funny thing about this Collector's Edition is that if you want the PS4 version,
05:49 you shouldn't have much trouble finding one, and at a significantly lower cost than when it launched.
05:54 But remember, this list is about PS5 Collector's Editions,
05:58 and you better be covered on bills if you're dying to get Village's Collector's Edition,
06:02 and specifically, the PS5 version.
06:04 Capcom was only charging a little over $200 during marketing.
06:08 From second-hand sellers now, it's $500,
06:11 and we wouldn't be surprised if the price increases substantially as time goes on.

06:28 Hogwarts Legacy
06:30 [Music]
06:38 Hogwarts Legacy was perhaps the biggest game to come out during the first half of 2023.
06:43 Considering this and the general size of the Harry Potter fanbase,
06:46 you can easily deduce how many people would want the game's Collector's Edition.
06:50 For $300, you'd get the game, a steel case, the Dark Arts pack,
06:55 access to the game three days early, and a wand that floats on top of a book.
07:00 The wand and book alone are being sold for $200 together.
07:04 For the whole shebang still sealed, you're going to need about $400,
07:08 and that's just the average asking price.
07:10 It is truly magical, even if we use a little bit of science to make it that way.
07:15 Horizon Forbidden West
07:17 I must find a way to stop it,
07:20 or it will get worse and worse.

07:31 You can find the Collector's Edition for Forbidden West rather easily and at a decent price.
07:36 But here's the thing, none of them are sealed, and they're all missing parts of the set.
07:41 Or at least most of them are missing parts.
07:43 A complete and sealed set is going to run you $300, maybe even $400 if you're searching in other corners.
07:49 But hey, if you wanted that sick Tremortusk statue,
07:52 maybe you should have forked over the $200 when you had the chance.

07:58 God of War Ragnarok
08:01 Alright, so now we are opening the Knowledge Keeper's Shrine.
08:06 Yes, you can see a little bit more about the story.
08:08 Oh my gosh, beautifully designed, beautiful.
08:12 Of course, Ragnarok was the biggest PlayStation release of 2022.
08:16 Well, first party release anyways.
08:19 But the Yotnar edition of Ragnarok was a rather tantalizing set to grab.
08:24 $260 would have got you the game, soundtrack on vinyl, a Drapner ring, Brox dice, a cloth map of Yggdrasil,
08:32 and a replica of Mjolnir all packaged in a Knowledge Keeper's Shrine box.
08:38 Like Horizon Forbidden West, you don't want to be fooled by the seemingly low costs,
08:42 as many sellers are trying to sell every part of the set individually.
08:47 You're going to be paying $300-$400 for a sealed box now.
08:51 So I will do this part.
08:54 Alright.
08:56 There it is. There it is. Again, it has a hefty, hefty weight to it.

09:04 You want to know how crazy expensive the Premium Collector's Edition of Elden Ring is?
09:15 We nearly had a heart attack when we saw the listings.
09:18 And we'll give you a hint, the price is most likely because of that replica of Melania's helmet.
09:24 We have never seen a Collector's Edition like this fetching for a minimum of $1000.
09:30 We're sure there are worse asking prices out there,
09:33 but given that we aren't super deep into the PS5's lifespan at the time of this video, this is insane.
09:39 We've seen other listings asking for $2000, and even one that was asking for $3000.
09:45 All because of this helmet, man!
