'The Blind Side' Inspiration Micheal Oher Released from Conservatorship

Professional football player Michael Oher has officially been released from his conservatorship with the Tuohy Family.

00:16 The football star made headlines back in August, when he filed a petition to free himself from

00:21 the conservatorship, and made a number of claims against the family that took him in.

00:26 The petition read, "Since at least August of 2004, conservators have allowed Michael,

00:31 specifically and the public generally, to believe that conservators adopted Michael

00:35 and have used that untruth to gain financial advantages for themselves and for the foundations

00:41 which they own or which they exercise control."

00:44 On September 29th, Shelby County Probate Court Judge Kathleen Gomez decided to ultimately

00:50 end the conservatorship.

00:52 Fans who have been following O'Her's battle celebrated the news online, many noting that
