00:22 Twenty years later Orr accused the couple of misleading him into signing away his legal

00:25 rights and forcing him into a conservatorship.

00:30 According to Orr, the Tuis tricked him under the guise that his cooperation would legally

00:34 make him a member of their family.

00:37 NBC reports that a conservatorship is a legal arrangement that places a third party in charge

00:41 of a person's ability to make decisions for themselves.

00:46 On August 14th, Orr filed a petition to end the conservatorship after learning that the

00:50 legal agreement did not make him a legal member of the Tuis family.

01:34 three years old to 18 when I moved in with the Tuis family, who I'm grateful for letting

01:38 me stay my senior year there, but you have to understand what it took for me to get to

01:42 that point," Michael told Mississippi Public Broadcasting.
