01:05 The alleged cult is based on an island community at Sitio Capihan, Barangay Sering, Socorro

01:12 All members of the organization Socorro Bayanihan Services, Inc., including alleged cult leader
01:17 J. Ren Seculario, deny minors were forced into marriage in their community.
01:22 Their denials come after at least three children testified about how they were forced to marry
01:26 and engage in sexual relations with arranged partners.
01:30 Fifteen-year-old Jane says she was married off to a stranger when she was 14, adding
01:34 Kilario, known as "Senor Aguila" to the community, decides the pairings.
01:39 Another witness, Love Lisa Vandal, tearfully recounts how she witnessed her 12-year-old
01:43 sister get forced to marry a boy she did not know.
01:46 "What happened was, my sister got pregnant.

02:31 A total of 296 lawmakers vote in favor of the passage of House Bill 8980, while three

02:41 Meantime, Kabataan Party List Representative Raul Manuel's microphone was turned off when
02:46 he tried to question the speedy passage of the proposed budget.
02:52 The Ateneo de Manila University continues to lead Philippine schools as the top university
02:56 based on the 2024 Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

06:38 "regretful and apologetic" to those who were offended by DeLeon's comment.
06:42 EAT further explains DeLeon's comment was done in a, quote, "very brief manner without
06:47 further actions, elaborations, or demonstrations."
06:50 The MTRCB adjudication board chairperson says the panel took the complaints it received
06:55 in consideration over DeLeon's remarks.
