Tasmania Police Inspector Craig Fox has a message ahead of the AFL grand final weekend.

00:00 Tasmania Police just want to remind everybody who's celebrating the grand final this weekend

00:05 that it's a day for everybody.

00:08 Whatever you're doing, do it safely.

00:10 Don't annoy anyone around you.

00:12 Enjoy the day.

00:13 Hopefully your team wins.

00:14 And if you are drinking, make sure that you act responsibly.

00:19 Get a designated driver because we will be out in force doing targeted patrols and static

00:24 RBT sites.

00:26 So our message is to enjoy your day but do it safely.

00:29 Our road policing, our uniformed people will all be out in force.

00:33 You'll see an increased presence on the roads.

00:36 So my advice is do not drink drive.

00:39 Don't even try and have a couple and think you'll be okay.

00:43 Generally on these days there is a very high chance that you will be intercepted and put

00:48 on an RBT, breath test or drug test.

00:51 We will have a presence in the streets.

00:53 We'll be in the pubs doing walk-throughs.

00:57 We understand it's a day where people like to celebrate with a drink.

01:03 We'll be making sure that people behave themselves.
