Australian National University chancellor Julie Bishop announces Distinguished Professor Genevieve Bell as the next vice-chancellor of the university.

00:06 of Distinguished Professor Genevieve Bell AO
00:09 as our next Vice-Chancellor.

00:19 In Genevieve, we have a truly inspiring
00:22 and visionary leader for the ANU.
00:25 It's a testament to our university
00:27 that the appointee to this prestigious role
00:30 comes from within our faculty.
00:33 Genevieve is exceptionally well-suited
00:35 to fulfil our founder's vision
00:37 for the Australian National University.
00:39 I'm confident that she will deliver
00:41 on our unique national mission
00:44 and maintain our place
00:45 among the great universities of the world.
