Jimmy Fairly Leeds: Inside the new eyewear that's opened in the Victoria Quarter

We speak to junior brand and PR coordinator Sophie Cormack to find out more.

00:00 So we literally opened two weeks ago, it's one of our fourth outside of London, which we're really excited about.

00:07 Really nice to be in the North as well, because we've obviously been in London for four years, so yeah, really excited to be here.

00:13 Right, and what do you offer at Jimmy Fairleigh?

00:16 So we have opticals, prescription glasses and also sunglasses.

00:20 We also offer eye tests, we've got an optometrist in-house, so yeah, you can book that online or in-store as well.

00:28 And what makes your sunglasses and eyewear so unique and different from maybe yesterday?

00:33 So I'd say our price point is quite unique in the sense that because we make everything ourselves, there's no middleman.

00:39 So all our glasses, we have two price points, so £1.29 or £1.49.

00:44 So it's just a bit more accessible to have some really cool eyewear, high quality, but at a more reasonable, accessible price, really.

00:52 And what's the response been like in Leeds so far over the last couple of weeks?

00:55 Yeah, it's been really welcoming, everyone's been so nice, been really busy in-store, had lots of eye tests being booked up.

01:02 So yeah, just really excited to be here and meet everyone as well.

01:05 And can you tell us about one of your bestsellers?

01:08 Yeah, so at the moment, obviously we're heading out of summer, so it's really great to have some opticals.

01:13 This is the Lou, which is one of our bestsellers. It's quite a fun frame, comes in lots of different colours as well.

01:19 And yeah, it's just a great oversized look as well to kind of go with your winter looks.
