"Aurora" was the tenth soloist album realeased by French jazz-fusion artist and violin virtuoso Jean-Luc Ponty. Ponty had just re-tooled his own band including a couple of Duke/Zappa associates. The album combines intricate arrangements with instantly gratifying melodies and mixes as well midtempo funks with fusion, in a well impressive balance of musicanship and melody presented in several unique moods.
