00:17 I will be voting, definitely.

00:19 I think I just want to see a change.

00:20 I think being from the younger generation, I would love to see some changes.

00:24 Not just so much on the government itself, but I think the economy as well.

00:28 I think that's hardly impacting everyone here at this point and I would love to see some

00:31 changes definitely.

00:32 Yeah, obviously.

00:33 Obviously, it's our right.

00:34 I think I have all the right and it's a responsibility for us to deliver the votes.

00:39 Yeah, first of all, we expect a good leader to win the election.

00:44 And the second one, we expect the leader to deliver the promises, which obviously need

00:50 to benefit the citizen.

00:52 That's very much important.

00:54 And eventually, all this must help us to uplift the situation of the economy as well as the

01:00 livelihood of the Selangor citizen.

01:02 Prices are going up and things are not stable.

01:05 The income level is very low.

01:07 Household debts are increasing.

01:09 So any leaders who can come and solve all these issues, the fundamental financial, economical

01:14 problem would be the hero for Selangor, I guess.

01:16 Yeah, I'll be voting, definitely.

01:18 I'll be voting at my usual place at Banda Utama.

01:22 I believe that there's a new candidate there by MUDA and all that, right?

01:28 I feel the young people should be well-equipped with information of the past.

01:33 So I think all of us, in a sense, besides coming out to do what we need to do, we should

01:38 have been more proactive in the past.

01:41 But this is a time we have to, you know, don't say don't come, come out, must come out.

01:46 29-year-old Ahmad Shahe says he will be heading back to Negeri Sembilan as he does not want

01:52 to miss the chance to cast his vote.

01:54 Yes, I will be going back for vote in Negeri Sembilan.

01:58 Current elected person is doing a great job there.

02:01 So I know that most of the investment in Negeri Sembilan has been going up in the past few

02:07 years because that is my hometown since I was a kid.

02:12 So I was born and raised there.

02:13 So I know that growing up in Rantau, it is a small town.

02:18 So they need a lot of changes there.

02:22 But I know that it is a good thing that I can see that the small town is progressing

02:26 year over year.

02:27 So I can see some new developments there and there are a lot of shops coming up.

02:32 And there are also some of the fast food restaurants has been built up there.

02:37 So there was none before.

02:38 So I think that's a good thing.

02:39 And I hope that this keeps up.

02:42 Meanwhile, first-time voter Amirdar Warshini Amber Pulai, who lives in Jitra Kedah, hopes

02:47 the elected candidates will look into issues related to farming in the state.

02:51 For the upcoming election, I will be casting my vote at Kedah.

02:56 I definitely won't miss this opportunity because this election, I believe voting is the fundamental

03:01 right and duty in a democratic society.

03:04 I hope that elected candidates in Kedah will prioritise initiatives that promote sustainable

03:11 agriculture, promote diversification and adoption of modern farming practice.

03:17 Another first-time voter is Nur Orisha from Sungai Buloh.

03:21 She hopes elected candidates will improve the transport system in her constituency.

03:27 I'm hoping that maybe because my part of Sungai Buloh is not the centre of Sungai Buloh MRT,

03:35 Sarjana is actually my house location.

03:37 Maybe one day I'm hoping that transportation is better there.

03:41 Two hundred forty-five state seats will be up for grabs in Kedah, Penang, Kelantan, Terengganu,

03:47 Selangor and Negeri Sembilan.

03:49 Political expert Professor Dr Mohd Azizuddin Mohd Sani said it was difficult to catch the

03:55 voter turnout this time.

03:57 He said each of the six states will face a different scenario if the voter turnout is

04:01 low.
