A memorable venue last year, can history repeat itself?
Transcript
00:00 Yeah, out of our two championship clubs, both are away on the opening day. Baggies at Blackburn,
00:09 Blues at Swansea, a huge fixture that sort of changed a lot last season as well. So they've
00:14 got a bit of history there now and they want to go and hopefully make it repeat itself
00:19 because they really want to get off to a good start.
00:22 Yeah, very famous win away at Swansea City last campaign, a 4-3. It was 3-2 down, Blues
00:28 were in the 90th minute and they got two very late goals in added time to turn that one
00:33 around and that three points was vital. It gave them some confidence. They went and beat
00:37 West Brom at home after that, I believe, pretty much immediately after, which was a huge result.
00:43 Bad results followed that one, but it was kind of a turning point in terms of the confidence
00:47 of right, if we are behind with the late stages, never give up. And that mentality continued
00:51 throughout the rest of the season.
00:53 This time around, I think a very different Swansea looking side, a very different Birmingham
00:57 side. So it will be a big change from last year, but fond memories there. It's quite
01:02 a lengthy trip for an opening day, but one where Blues can hopefully get a positive result
01:06 and then return to St Andrews to play Leeds United the week after that.
