00:03 Major regeneration plans for Clay Cross have taken a step forward,

00:07 following the application to create a new library and build 16 commercial units in the town.

00:12 Local start-ups and new businesses would be housed in the units, according to the plan,

00:16 submitted to North East Derbyshire District Council, whose decision on the scheme is pending.

00:21 Under the application, which forms part of a master plan to create a new square and pedestrianised market street,

00:27 there would be a reconfiguration and extensions to both the Clay Cross Adult Community Education Centre

00:32 and the former Derbyshire Adult Community Education Centre in the town.

00:36 The plan involves the creation of a library and skills hub in a new build extension to the main Adult Education Centre,

00:42 which is housed in a former school, with a clock tower on Market Street.

00:46 Several structures at the rear of the clock tower would be demolished to make way for the development.

00:53 A moving service has been held to commemorate a much-loved Derbyshire ambulance service worker who adored her job.

00:59 The funeral service for Louise O'Neill took place yesterday at Chesterfield Crematorium.

01:04 Louise was a technician in the ambulance service and was based at Ashgate Station.

01:08 She recently received a commendation for 20 years of amazing service.

01:12 Friends, family and co-workers attended the funeral,

01:16 and a full guard of honour was held to commemorate Louise, who passed away after being diagnosed with pelvic cancer.
